Question PCIe 4x4 on a 5x0 (M.2) ?

Hello! I was wondering if my M.2 4x4 SSD will work on full speed if I install it in a M.2 5x0 slot? or will it only work as an 4x0?

From my understanding I can physically install it but I do not know ware the 4 lane split is.

I dont know if any manufacturer does motherboard with 5x0, but mine only says 5.0 and not 5.0x4

That motherboard page you listed, where (21) is listed, gives the slot as 5.0 x 4.

The 4.0 or 5.0 is the version number (generation, if you like). The x4 is the number of lanes, so you can't have x0.

It should work at 4.0 x 4.
