Hello,

I have ASRock Z87 Extreme6/ac with i7 4770k and I would like to benefit from PCIe SSDs as a boot drive:
- Will it work with my mother board?
- How is it best to connect it? I have multiple pci-x slots and would rather use on of the smaller ones toward the end of the mobo if it doesn't make a difference to keep SLI an option for the future
- I already have a normal SSD, will the benefit be worth it?

Thanks for the help :)

edit: I meant PCIe SSD and not mSata, sorry for any confusion

Solution
For the average person the M.2 drive is not worth it for a whooping 0.5 second quicker boot time.
If you do a lot of file transfers or use it as a scratch drive then it could be worth it.
