PCIe and PCIe 2.0 question

I've got a PCIe 16 mobo, and I'm thinking of buying either a used 9600gt from a friend or a brand new GTX260, but both are stated as "PCIe 2.0" cards. Will this cards work fine on my PCIe mobo?
