PCIE bifurcation compatibility in Asus x570 for GPU and add-on cards

I am planning new build for video editing
rendering content creation desktop PC with following configuration

  1. CPU Ryzen 7 2700x or Ryzen 5 3600x
  2. Motherboard Asus Prime x570-p or Asus x470 prime pro
  3. GPU GTX 1660ti super or GTX 1650 super
  4. Gskill Flare 32GB (16x2) 3200mhz
  5. Three (3) Samsung 970 evo nvme m.2 gen3 drive 1tb-Three(3) drives
  6. One (1) Samsung 980 evo plus nvme m.2 gen drive 500GB or 1tb- one drive
  7. One WDD SATA Blue HDD 4TB for backup.
  8. Asus hyper M.2 x16 adapter card gen3 or gen4

What I want to do is
1. Put GPU in pciex16_3 third slot working in pcie 4.0x4 lanes mode speed

2. Put Asus hyper m.2x16 adapter card gen 4 or gen 3 in pciex16_1 first slot in pcie 4.0x16 or pcie 3.0x16 . So that all 4 four m.2 slots Samsung 970 evo m.2 nvme gen 3 drives work in adapter card at pcie4.0x4 or pcie 3.0x4 lanes speed mode.

3. Put Samsung 980 evo plus nvme drive in m.2 _1 first slot of x570 motherboard so that it work in pcie4x4 lanes speed mode.

Therotically it seems to be possible. But the main problem is that the compatibility birufication of pcie slot of the Asus board in specification manual and compatibility list is different. So it confusing that will this work or not so it make hard to decide which board processor card I should go for.

For details I am giving details of motherboards manual page screen shots and links of specification and official compatibility chart link

Asus prime x570-P specification page

Now confusion and doubts and my queries are

Q1. In Asus prime x570-p with 3rd gen cpu Ryzen 5 3600x second pcie_2 x16 second pcie16x slot working in pcie 4.0x4 lanes mode when cpu is 3rd gen (3600x) if cpu is 2nd gen(2700x)) then will that slot degrade downgrade to pcie 3.0x4 lanes speed. As image of manual shows it will run in pcie4.0x4 even on Ryzen 2nd gen 2700x cpu. as the 2nd slot is linked with amd x570 chipset not with cpu then will bus speed will degrade to pcie 3.0 practixally or not

Q2. Does if in Asus prime x570-p second Pcie_2x16 second slot working in pcie 4.0x4 lanes mode speed if I put GPU gtx 1660ti super then will the speed of first pcie_1x16 firat slot degrade or downgrade to pcie4.0x16 to pcie 4.0x8 or it will work in full pcie4.0x16 lanes mode as the manual link says it will work in pcie 4x16 mode as both slots don't share bandwidth with each other

Q3. Does in Asus prime -P x570 m.2_2 second slot shares bandwidth with any pcie or SATA slot if I use this slot with m.2 drive will it disable or locks any slots as nothing mentioned in.manual or specification page even

Q4. Does Asus prime -P x570 with ryEn 7 2700x m.2_2 second slot will work in pcie4.0x4 speed or pcie 3.0x4 on using 2nd gen cpu will bus speed decrease as m2x2 slot is linked with amd x570 chipset not with cpu will it vary with cpu

Q5. as Asus Prime x570-p motherboards first pciex16 slot is linked with cpu if used with ryzen 3rd gen 3600x then it should work in pcie4.0x16 mode then if I put the Asus hyper M.2 x16 v2 gen 4 adapter card then theroticially all 4 four M.2 slots in adapter card should work in pcie4.0 x4 lanes speed but the birufication compatibility chart says only 1 or 2 drives or slot will work . Is the birufication of bios matters on adapter or it varies to pcie x16 lanes speed it's confusing.

Q6. same way as Asus Prime x570-p motherboards first pciex16 slot is linked with cpu if used with ryzen 2nd gen 2700x then it should work in pcie3.0x16 mode then if I put the Asus hyper M.2 x16 v2 gen 3 adapter card then theroticially all 4 four M.2 slots in adapter card should work in pcie3.0 x4 lanes speed but the birufication compatibility chart says only 1 or 2 drives or slot will work . Is the birufication of bios matters on adapter or it varies to pcie x16 lanes speed it's confusing.

u can get that result - but not that way. What a mess.

put simply, u need a pcie 4 cpu (3600x scrapes in), an x570 atx mobo w/ 2x 8 lane slots

the mobo must allow 0ne slot to be bifurcated to x4x4. This slot hosts the quad m.2 nvme adapter card - but 8 lanes means it only yields 2 ports. The other slot hosts ur gpu at 8 lanes.

u now have 3x fast pcie 4/3 nvme using native 4x lanes each

u can still host 2 more x4 nvme using chipset lanes, which is where x570 has a huge advantage over other AM4 chipsets.

uniquely, it is fed by double bandwidth pcie 4 lanes, so it can offer lots more resources.

if u forgo much of an nvmeS speed, u can also host nvme on adapter which us one of the several pcie x 1 chipset slots - its still better & more future proof storage than sata ssd.

its nice too, that if u go to pcie 4 gpu later, that 8 lanes equates to the 16GB/s of current pcie 3 x16 gpus.

imo u should get 2x 32GB dimm 64GB kit. its a sweet spot. fast as nvme is, it cant come close to ram speeds.

u dont mention raid 0, but if thats ur intent, the first 3 ports above are ~identical & have unrestricted bandwidth, so they could be teamed well into an array of like drives.

getting info on bifurcation is HARD imo
