[SOLVED] PCIe Gen 4 x4 M.2 slow read

Hi,

I just bought this PCIe Gen 4 x4 M.2 WD_Black 2TB SN850 but it's only read at 4000MB/s

the m.2 has been inserted at M.2-1 the PCIe Gen 4 x4 slot

MB: TUF GAMING B550-PLUS

Can you please state the processor used in your build? OS version? Ideally you should be on version 21H1. What BISO version are you working with on your motherboard? The slot for the M.2 drive checks out.

When you run a benchmark it's best to have the machine as quiet as possible.
Reboot and let it sit for 5 mins.
Run the benchmark.

I'm not sure what you mean by "as quiet as possible" can you explain more

and my m.2 out of the box it's read at 4000MB/S

It means you don't want a bunch of background stuff running it can make the benchmark numbers a little wonky.

I'm really sorry for wasting your precious time, it turns out there was a profile and it was set to Real world performance and I changed it to default
