Hi, everyone.
I'm planning to build my 2nd gaming pc.
1st pc is an old Haswell Generation setup, so i have no idea about the new technologies right now) xD

PC Parts:
Ryzen 5 3600
B450 Tomahawk Max II (1 M.2 slot PCIE 3.0x4)
GIGABYTE M.2 PCIe SSD 256GB (PCIE 3.0x2, NVMe 1.3)

But kind of confused about this M.2/NVMe, Gen3 x2/x4 stuff.
Will it work if i insert a gen3x2 NVMe in a gen3x4 slot?

Thanks for reading and answering!

yes it willl work, your nvme drive only use 2 lanes, and your motherboard have 4 lanes.

as long as it's nvme m.2, it'll work.
