i was looking at 450 boards and i stumbled into a confusion, when looking at the specifications i saw that msi 450 gaming plus rely on processor pcie lanes no chipset lanes available but when i looked at b450 gaming pro carbon ac specification it uses lanes from processor but also from the chipset for m.2 drives on 2.0 speeds. So i was wondering will installing a gpu and a m.2 drive on b450 gaming plus make the gpu run at pcie 8x speeds ? as 4x lanes will be occupied by m.2 ssd

My Specs
Processor - i5 6500
Mobo - gigabyte h110ms2
Ram - hyperx fury 2133 8gb
Gpu - Plait gtx 1060 6gb
Ssd - Samsung 750evo 120gb
Hdd - WD blue
Supply - Corsair vs450
Case - Corsair 100r

hi, ryzen have 24 pcie lanes
16 are reserved for GPU (up 2 pcie x16 slots no matter mainboard)
can be lmited to x8 mode if u have ryzen xxxG (with integrated graphic)
4 are reserved for m.2 nvme drive (or 2+2 split sata)
4 are reserved for USB 3.0
4 are reserved for chipset (sata, another m2, another usb, network card, etc)
chipse itself has 6 pcie lanes, but bandwith is limited to x4 mode (all devices on pch shares it)
