PCIE network card in PCI slot

I have an asus PCIE wireless network card and I was wondering will it work in a normal PCI slot difference. Will there be a performance difference? Thanks!

You will need to install the wireless device into a PCIe slot. A PCI slot won't work.

PCIE != PCI

1. Won't fit.
2. Even if you could make it fit it won't work. Two completely different interfaces.
