Question PCIE Raid controller killed on board graphic chip

I put a Adaptec ASR-7805 that I got from a (legit?) vendor on ebay (https://www.ebay.at/itm/175190670313) into the PCIE x16 slot on a Supermicro X11SCA-F. Now for some reason I can't get any signal anymore from the motherboards IPMI interface's console redirection. It simply says NO SIGNAL.

I tested the motherboard before without ever having put the raid controller card in and the console redirection was working fine. I had the exact same issue on a different motherboard (same model though) but I thought the motherboard was damaged so I sent it back and ordered a new one. I already tried:

- CMOS reset
- Resetting the motherboard to factory defaults via the IPMI interface

I can't get the console redirection to work any more. Is it possible that I bought a damaged raid controller card and it somehow damaged the on board graphic chip on the motherboard?

I would greatly appreciate any input here!

Yes I did unplug it. I reset the CMOS by shorting the responsible jumper on the mainboard and removing the CMOS battery.

I wrote to the Supermicro support and they shared my suspicion of it being a hardware error. They said I have to file an RMA request ...
