Finally getting around to CF'ing my new 290x, and was wondering whether I could use a PCIe ribbon cable to seperate the 2

I'm still using my old mATX asrock board in my main build (air 540), and am obviously worried about the space between the two rather hot running cards...
Would the screws on the mounting bracket alone be enough to support the card?

thanks in advance

Unless I can convince M$ otherwise, I'm stuck with spending another £80. I don't really want to get a new mobo now anyway though, no point seeing as I want to go to AMD zen when it's out. Don't want a new mobo unless it's a significant upgrade, and I'm not rich enough to get a haswell-e AND new ram for it... :'( If only...
