Currently I have the standard Sata SSD(Samsung EVO 850), which I'm very happy with, but I was just wondering about the PCIe/m.2 standard. I read that SSD's are more sensitive to heat than the regular hard drives, with performance drops and failures due to heat. Having these m.2 slots so close to heat sources, is that such a good thing? I mean, the Sata SSD's can be mounted anywhere, pretty far from heat. Perhaps it's not an issue at all in desktop systems?
