PCIe USB Card Power Question

I just bought a Rosewill USB 3.0 card for my desktop and was wondering do I need to plug in a molex cable to the back of the card? I'm assuming the card will work without molex but not power USB devices? I'm very confused since the instructions don't mention the molex at all.

I just went ahead and found the molex cable that came with my PSU and plugged it in, works fine.
