I was looking at a pcie card with bluetooth and wifi connection and there is an extra cable you are meant to plug into your motherboard somewhere, where does that go?
My motherboard is the one from the hp compaq sff 6200 pro.

Solution
Typically, just the front USB ports plug in there, but I'm not sure about the HP. If they're currently not in use, I wouldn't worry about it and use them.

^ That's correct.

Most of these combo wireless cards has a cable going to the motherboard USB 2.0 header. The Bluetooth radio is accessed via USB while WiFi uses the PCIe interface.

Since i havent bought any of these crads yet since i was skeptical, would that mean the cable would go directly into the motherboard or would i have to snake it out of my case (which is possible if easiest option).

That plug is a 9 pin usb plug for bluetooth that plugs somewhere on the MB that ONLY that plug will fit .
