Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with a PCIex1 slot.
First my system config:
Win 10 64 bit,
MB Asus ROG x470F Asus ROG x470F
Single GPU (Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti) => Connected to PCIe 3.0 x16_1 slot
SSD (Samsung Evo) connected to M2_2 socket.
The (wifi) PCIe x1 card i'm trying to use is a Asus AC68. It is connected to PCIex1_3
Problem: When starting Windows, the device manger does not recognise the wifi card. In fact it does not display the card at all (not even as "unknown device")
The card itself is working. I placed the card in another PC (WIn 7 however), and it works fine. The weird part is, that when i took out the wifi card from my new PC, it was not warm at all. Looks to me like it was not even activated by hardware.
Now the manual states on 1-18
My Wifi Card is placed in PCIex1_3. How can i tell whether my SSD is in Sata mode or not?
greets Julian

he M.2_2 socket shares PCIe clock with PCIe x1_1. When PCIe x1_1 or PCIe x1_3
is occupied, the M.2_2 socket can only support SATA mode
