Mistakenly bought an x4 lane quad-port NIC to add to a thin client but only after opening the case, I realized the slot on the mobo appears to be x1 lane. so I am left with a x1 lane slot but have a x4 lane card that doesn't fit.
Can anyone suggest what options I have here please? there isn't much room in the case to wriggle around, the mobo is exactly the same as below.
