[SOLVED] PCIe x16 vs PCIe x8 @ Version 2.0 with GTX 1650 Super

More or less a theoretical question I suppose, because the difference will probably depend on the game. But in general would there be any noticeable difference with a GTX 1650 Super running at x8 lanes rather than x16 lanes at PCIe 2.0? I just ran a couple quick Firestrike benchmark runs and came away with about 1 fps and 0.5 fps slower results in x8 lanes.

My one little test seems borne out then by that article and its later one as well. But especially PCIe 2.0. Thanks.

Yup. 1.0-2.5 fps difference (@1080p) between x8 and x16 using Ultra in both Heaven and Valley. One result even gave x8 a tiny win. 👍
