Hello can someone clear this up for me. Does the ECS NF650iSLIT-A (V1.0) mobo pcie slot run at x16 on both slots using 1 card and x8 while on sli? Please clarify because i have no space in my computer for my 9800gtx it only fits on the bottom.

No, they are hard locked at x8/x8 each, no matter what card is in what slot, this was a design choice by ECS to use the hard lock x8/x8 instead of the switch card between x16/x1 and x8/x8 mode that most manufacturers used on the 650i SLI boards.

It won't matter alot anyway, perhaps at high res it may start to bottleneck, but in most cases the differnce is marginal. Now if it were 4X then you would have a problem.

thats dumb on there part. would there be a big difference getting x8 instead of x16 with a 9800gtx?
