Hi,
We are running SBS2003 Premier on a network with around 50 clients running
Windows 2000 and WindowsXP Pro. We have a series of network printers - HP
2500TN, HP4300TN, HP4050TN. We also have a printer on the network that is
shared from a client PC - an HP3015 all-in-one printer.
A colleague was trying to print an Excel2000 document which contained text
and some charts. When he did so, he could print to the 4300 and 4050 but not
to the 2500 or 3015. He keeps getting:
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalOperatorSequence
Operator: SetPageScale
Position: 2
If he copies and pastes the whole sheet into a new Excel2000 sheet, then it
prints fine. Furthermore, if he sets a zone to print it does not work but
displays the above error message.
This particular spreadsheet was made around 4 weeks ago. This person
creates spreadsheets like this everyday. All the spreadsheets work apart
from this one. Another person on the domain had the same fault with the
spreadsheet. I tried using Save As, but the newly created spreadsheet (which
was bizarely 7KB bigger in size) did not work either.
The size of the sheet is 11,331KB. This file is 1 month old. The file from
yesterday is 13,000KB in size and prints fine.
Help!!!
