PCMCIA device not found

I have a hard drive connected to a PCMCIA 2-port SATA card. The device is rarely found and when it is it is usually if I uninstall the driver and reboot my laptop. How can I get this device to be consistently found in Windows XP?

Sounds like an issue with the card or drivers. Check with the vendor that made the card.
