Pcparpicker wattage question here

So yeah, it's about the wattage that pcpartpicker.com shows when you are building your own rig. If example, for an entry level build with one GPU and it computed about, let's say 250w, is it safe to get a PSU with 450w (like Antec VP450 for example), I mean is that the peak wattage of your system? How about if you use it continuously or play for it for a longer time? Will there be any change with that wattage that was calculated? Please help me

yes, you want at least 100w more on your power supply than your system is rated, for instance, if i had a system rated at 300w, i would want at least a 400w power supply. also can you post a link to your build?
