PC's on Windows 2000 Domain hanging at "Applying Computer ..

Can anyone help.

Periodically All the windows 2000 professional clients on
our domain hang at "applying computer settings".

We have to reboot the Windows 2000 Server to resolve the
problem.

Has anyone come across this problem and has a solution.

I have seen this when there is a misconfigured GPO setting. Check your
Restricted Groups, Services, Registry permissions, and File Permissions. If
some of these are not on the target computer, you might get hang ups.
