I'm currentlly working on making a peacer. I've been working Musicianship
and is pushing around 80 right now. Is there any perticular place I can go
to get gains in peacemaking. And by the way. This char is brand new and has
no kind of fighting or magery skill. That stuff comes later. 😛

It depends on how high your peacemaking is.
I would go to the Moonlgow cemetary when my peacemaking was still low, and
stand safely behind
the fence and peacemake/ provoke everything there.:)
Then later I'd just peacemake everything I saw, and also you gain a lot by
clicking on yourself.
At higher levels, I would go to the Ice dungeon, and if people were fighting
Wyrms, I'd ask if it was
ok if I would peacemake the Wyrms, while they were fighting them.
9 out of 10 times they loved that, and my skill went up like crazy from it.

But even when your peacemaking is very high: if you click on yourself, and
thus peacemake everything around you,
you will still gain. So wherever i go, I'm always peacemaking and gaining.

Hope this helps,
Earendil

Well, thats great for the Moonglow cemetary then.:)

Just be careful for magic using creatures there, but theres usually people
there killing them.

Btw: what other skills do you intend to give your char?
If you intend to give him provoke too, I found the cemetary perfect for
that.:)

*rolls eyes*

How silly...

Seriously: why play a mmorpg, if you're not even going to create/ build your
own chars.

That's the "powergamer" perspective. I'm more of an "explorer" type
in mmorpgs. I've tried the 8x8 method, found that (a) it was boring
as hell and (b) I didn't gain any faster than simply playing the game.
- unlike powergamers, who rarely take the time to study the game but
just grab the "fastest cheats" from ancillary websites, explorers tend
to gather a deeper understanding of game mechanics and learn which
monsters are best for raising skills/advancing in levels through
playing the game. A typical powergamer whine is, "WAHHHH!!!! I used
Provoke on Dragons for OVER AN HOUR with my newbie bard and didn't got
ANY GAINS AT ALL!!! What's his skill level? Um...50, I think..."

Maybe I'm missing something... are you saying that to raise a character's
skills within the context of normal gaemplay is naive? My bard is
approaching GM music and provo, though peace lags behind. I could not be
less interested in gaining skill through any means than general adventuring.
If I mistook you, I am sorry :)

If you have UO assist (and I can't imagine life without it), create a macro
that performs an area peace every time you hit the space bar. If you talk to
other characters at all, you will get gains without even thinking about it!

No I meant it the other way around.:)

I was being sarcastic, but sorry for the confusing.😉
