When I reboot my pc (Acer M1640) I have to move my monitors VGA plug to the other VGA socket before I get a signal. The peculiar thing is the next time I reboot I have to move the plug back to the other socket. This happens with every reboot and doesn't make sense to me. OldGit71

This problem persists Every time I reboot I have to change the vga plug to the alternate vga port. If I start with a working display and reboot and the Microsoft hello tune plays, the screen is blank and the ready light is orange instead of blue. Then if I change the plug to the other port all is well and I can log in.
This is a very annoying problem as the vga sockets are mounted on the backplate and I have to pull my desktop pc out to change the plug to the alternate port.
Does anybody have any ideas on this as its driving me crazy?
Thanks for reading of my woes and any help would be much appreciated.
