I have an AMD FX-8320e with a CM D92 cooler and an ASRock 970A G/3.1. I think I have been pretty lucky with this chip as I have it OC'd to 4GHz at 1.35v and it is very stable. I ran prime95 for a while (the CM D92 fan speed was at about half to keep noise down), and it maxed out at 50C. I am looking to OC it to around 4.5Ghz for 24/7 use. My main constraint is the noise; at full speed the D92 fans can be kind of loud. I had an idea to use a Peltier module to blow below ambient temperature air into the intake of the case, so the temperatures will be lower and thus I can keep the fans at a lower speed. Do you guys think this is possible?
