I've taken a look at swiftnets.com, but unfortunately their info on what to do about Peltiere condensation is a 404 link. What can you do about condensation?
Thanks in advance!
nothing a little self-help won't solve. I just came across a good page that explains Peltiers in depth, and how to use them.
It's at isjm.com/tst/heatsink/peltier.htm
This is a very good article: <A HREF="http://www.octools.com/articles/socket_condensation/intro.html" target="_new">http://www.octools.com/articles/socket_condensation/intro.html</A>
One solution is isolation and insulation. Keep everything that is cold well insulated using gaskets and seals to trap any condensation. (Can be very expensive).
Another solution is an electronic one. The peltiers are not turned on until the CPU reaches a certain temperature. Because the Peltier is carefully selected it just balances the heat of the CPU and the combination never sees temperatures cool enough to produce condensation.
i would think if your cpu is running hot enough it would evaporate the condensation.
the reason I say this is I ova clocked a p2 250 to 333 and put beer on ma finger to see what it would do. (btw no hs or fan) and it evaporated. any way I wanted the proc to change color and it didn't work.
