"Pencil Trick" -- Strange Results??

Completed the "pencil trick" on 2 month old Athlon 900 installed on an MSI K7T Turbo (MS-6330) with recently released overclockers bios. Default works fine, using multiplier 9.5 it reboots at 500, and using 12.5 takes it to 650, going lower to 8 it boots correctly. Bumped up voltages and tried all i could think of. Cleared CMOS and tried again with same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Redo your L1 bridges. Erase good first, and when your redraw them, make sure that your bridges don't touch each other. Thnx much for the reply and the links......i have spent the last hour checking them out....i think i may have used an inferior pencil...one of the posts that i read had the same problems as i am having and it was due to the pencil he used. gonna crack the case and try again; i hate this mobo, waiting for my new one to be delivered...again, thnx much for the info!!
