Pendrive stuck in read-only mode

So i was downloading files from MEGA and halfway through the sync program froze so i killed it in task manager. After that I ejected the pendrive and plugged it back in and started to put the last GB of data on it. It said that "this folder is read-only" so I unchecked read-only from properties but it still came up with that error. I took it out and plugged it in again. The error was gone but the transfer speed slowed down to ~5 kb/s. What can I do?

I'd try reformatting it, but that would delete everything on it.

Have you tried using a different USB port? Or a different pen drive to make sure it's not the PC?
