The Pentagon Inspector General, the Pentagon's watchdog, announced that it has begun reviewing the JEDI contract awarding process, which many, including members of Congress and President Trump, have accused of bias towards Amazon.

The results of the investigation make little difference. The application process makes little difference. As long as Amazon is a potential "winner" of the contract, Trump will have an issue with the process. The only way to make him happy is to write the rules in such a way that Amazon can't apply or they are ineligible. Trump has a personal issue with Bezos and as such, will continue to interfere if Amazon has any chance.
