Why is it that when i overclock my pentium to 3Ghz the memory bandwith is dropping down. Duall Channel DDR Total of 1024 MB. Can anyone help me?

Most memory bandwith benchmarks are pretty sketchy to say the least.

But it could also be cause by you running an fsb/memory divider, or running looser memory timmings.


If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor

Chances are you have your memory speed set to automatic, and your board is using a lower memory speed ratio when you overclock.

Wat ram are you using and wat is it's CL and timings?
