Pentium 4 HT in laptop?

I am planning to upgrade my laptops cpu again but Im kinda confused with the Pentium 4 HTs.

My laptop is socket 478, 2002 laptop. It has a Intel Celeron 2.4ghz 256kb 400mhz FSB and I think its a northwood processor(gotta open it up later this week).

Anyway, I am curious if there are an Pentium 4 HTs for mobile sockets? The Pentium 4 ht I was looking at was 85TDP which obviously wont work with my 35TDP Celeron.

Can't answer your question.
But... I have replaced the hard drive in every laptop I own with a SSD and the performance boost is glorious.
Even old chips benefit. You only need a laptop modern enough to have sata drives.

2002-2005 , actually makes a lot of sense since the last bios update was 2005. Thanks n would it be worth it to upgrade?(opinion and technical terms)

It would be worth an upgrade only if you would gain sufficient personal satisfaction from upgrading a 12 year old laptop.

If the CPU was $5 then it may be worth it. If the CPU ends up costing $50+ no I would never do so. Sadly I don't think you laptop has Sata so no SSD for you
