Hi,
I have an old laptop with a 3.06 ghz pentium 4 cpu (socket 478) and the adapter socket needs to be replaced according to the guy at the repair center. The expected cost of doing this is around $40 according to him and I also wanted a RAM upgrade which is estimated around $60 per 1gb ram module. my question is this- would I be better off a) repairing the laptop b) turning it into a pc using a mobile motherboard that can support this or c) forget the dead investment and throw it away
if b, please tell me where I can get a mobile motherboard that supports that cpu please.
thanks in advance
