Hi.
My specs..
Pentium 4 530
Prescot 90nm Technology
2 Gb RAM
Hawlett Packard 0984h (XUI processor)
Intel graphics 128 mb
160 gb HDD

Since three or four days my pc has been heating up too much. At idle its 52*C while i stress test with prime 95 or play games it starts to get to 70*C in seconds.and the temps go on increasing untill it shuts down.
I tried to re setup my fans. No luck.
I re applied thermal paste arctic silver 5. No luck.
I placed my PSU outside the case no luck.
Ryt now i have one fans blowing heat away from the processor. One fan as exhaust. One fan as intake at the front. Case is really small.
I dont know whats the issue ?? Any help.
Thnx.

Sadly my friend, its end of life for that baby. Chances are the TIM (Thermal Interface material) between the chip and the IHS (Integrated Heat Spread) has degraded, which you would expect with a 14 year old chip.

Time for something new, and retire that bad boy to CPU heaven.
