Ive been messing around with overclocking my PC lately and my cpu temps would randomly jump to 100 degrees celcius on my monitoring programs and i was worried. so i reapplied thermal paste and now my temps are idle at 44 degrees Celsius but thats with my fan running nearly maxed out. and under load it reaches around 55 degrees Celsius and my fan cant really speed up to cool it down. i want to know if theese are acceptable temps for this processor since i heard these tend to run very hot.

OK thank you all for the input i updated my bios finally.from 2004 to 2801 (yah i know i should keep it up to date) and i was idling at 42 with load at 55. then i started playing warcraft 3 and i decided to exit out just to check it was reading 114 degrees Celsius so i shut down and removed excess thermal paste on the cpu and replaced the heatsink and fan. ive been running prime 96 right now and its max load temp is 55 degrees average and ive been running for 20 mins with no problems. i noticed that my CPU voltage has dropped from 1.36 idle to 1.3 load, does this mean i should lower my vcore to that voltage?? any help concerning stabilizing CPU temps would be great
