Pentium D vs Pentium G series

So I'm trying to upgrade, and the most I can spend on the processor is 90 bucks. Right now I have an Pentium D 925, and I'm looking at a Pentium G860. I want to know if it's worth the upgrade, and if I should get something different? (If I did something wrong I'm sorry I just joined 20 minutes ago haha)

The Pentium G series will be considerably faster, will draw less power and will generate less heat.

Just be aware that the G860 uses Socket 1155, while your Pentium D uses Socket 775. You will need to change motherboards to use the G860.
