Pentium G3220 vs I3 2120? Worth the upgrade?

I've recently bought a Pentium G3220 cpu only 4 months ago and now found an i3 2120 for near the same price I spent on my Pentium. Now I was wondering if it was worth spending the money to upgrade from 3.00ghz to 3.30ghz.

From what I know, they're both dual cores and I'm looking at benchmarks and the rating for both which don't seem too far apart. For the Pentium the rating is 3217 vs 3869 for the I3. I've done some research and read some reviews saying that the i3 is not much of an upgrade and it's better to go i5. The comp is only used for games and videos. Let me know what you think, thanks in advance.

your motherboard is 1150 socket. core i3 2120 is 1155 socket. for 1150 socket you need core i3 4130. haswell series

if i was you, i prefer save the money for core i5.
