Sorry for my english. Im trying to overclock Intel Pentium g3258 to 4,3GhZ with stock cooler. This is my first overclocking. I set
Clock ratio
43
Uncore ratio
43
CPU Vcore
1.2v
everything else default
As you probably can see it doesnt work. How should i overclock that cpu?
I have Gigabyte B85M-DS3H-A
Thanks for help and please, dont laugh at me

Not likely since the difference in overall power draw between Small FFT and Large FFT is actually very small - Large FFT stresses L3 cache and RAM, which is why it draws slightly more power. The fact that its stable at 3.8 rules out memory, and the fact that you are running a dual-core CPU on a motherboard that accepts quads makes it very unlikely that your motherboard VRM is being overwhelmed, leaving only L3 cache as the only other culprit. Try lowering the uncore, and you'll probably be able to raise the core ratio back up.
First of all, the uncore should not be raised until you've established a stable core ratio, and 4.3GHz cache is not likely to be 100% stable. I would start at 3.8GHz core and stock voltage, and increase the core in .1GHz steps until you reach the limit on stock voltage. Then, if you want more speed, increase the voltage in steps of 0.05V until it's stable at the speed you want, but no higher than about 1.2 on the stock cooler to keep temps reasonable. My G3258 was an average sample and it maxed at 4.2/3.6/1.2V on the stock cooler and 4.5/3.6/1.35 with aftermarket, but your mileage may vary. good luck, it's a fun little chip!

Thanks for help. Right now im running clock ratio 4,3 uncore 4 and 1,175V and it seems stable. But i dont know how high temp is good, because i have about 77C. Is that acceptable? I have that temp only in stress test Prime95, when im playing games i have about 73C. How long should i run that stress test to be sure that its stable?

I just found error :/ when i start cpu stress test everything seems ok, but when i try to run psu + ram(in-place large FFT) test it fails after a couple of seconds. I tried lowering everything on cpu but its failing all the time. Only with default settings it works. I also tried test called MemTest and with OC it says that there is 1 error, but doesnt write which. What is the problem? I have 500W PSU and 4GB ram
UPDATE: Im trying 3,8ghz on 1,1V and its passing large fft test for 15min. Is that problem with PSU?
