Pentium G640 @ 2.8 ghz is it bottlenecking my Sapphire HD 7770?

ever since i switched from my intel hd graphics the games i've been playing are still getting fps drops.. like BF4 gets fps drops every 10 seconds at 1024x760 resol @ low graphics

The answer to your question is YES. G640 is pretty weak CPU. You can upgrade it to G2120/i3 3220 (if you're on a budget) or to i5 3450, to enjoy BF4.
