I bought an HP 15-f024wm notebook, from the electronic bargain bin at Walmart for $250 bucks. I bought this for school homework and really didn't expect much from it, hence I hate using the school library (Citrix, imaged school computers), by the time I log in and load 3rd party assignments, log off, save, blah blah, it's time for my next class. I was hesitant buying it at first, and was about to lay down 400 for an i5/hd5500, but I just needed a laptop for "connect" assignments. I saw the HP on a bargain shelf and bought it (hey 250 bucks). When I got home I upgraded to windows 10 (what the heck, might as well before I start saving stuff on it).
To my Surprise, the laptop is shockingly fast! I was no kidding shocked! I was with my friend when we were laughing about buying such a "beater bargain bin" computer, Laughing even louder when it was playing games like robocraft, Left for dead 2, and rainbow six las vegas.
I loaded CoreTemp (reading that the cpu is fanless) all 4 cores IDLE at 68-70c. Here's the weird part, when I play a game (which was for laughs on a 250 dollar computer) the temps read 50-55c? So I don't know if it's not reading the temps correctly.
The system Idles at 70c? is this fine? I cant get an accurate readout on load because it drops 20c? It's not warm or anything under the case?
specs:
Pentium N3540 quad core 2.2ghz
4gb ram
500gb hd
(very generic graphics chip) *displays as touch-pen graphics (it is touch screen BTW)
Thank you for the help!
