Pentium vs 13 vs 15 bottleneck 1060

so I have a Pentium g4600 with a 1050 2gb but I wanna upgrade to a 1060 6gb but from all the benchmarks I see the Pentium holds as well as the i5 but is this true or do I upgrade?

Don't bother with a 1060. It's your processor you need to upgrade.

It's not worth upgrading, as the Pentium g4600 has 4 threads, unless you have lots of cash to spend. You're right in that it's not that far from an i5.
