here is what i ve choosen so far

Case:CoolerMaster Haf 912
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&Tpk=haf%20912

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769
GPU:eVGA GTX 570
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130613
PSU:SeaSonic S12 II bronze 620w(got a 520w of this unit and its performing perfectly)i would get more power for overclocking thats ur choice
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096
Ram:2x4GB 1600 MHz CL9 1.5v
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233141
Mobo: Asrock Z68 pro 3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157251
CPU:i5-2500k(or just w8 for intel's new series)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
CPU Cooler:CM Hyper 212 Plus(dunno much about cpu coolers but ppl always say its a good unit)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065

Total cost:928$

Notes:
-overall cooling is not that good the case only has 2 fans u can either buy extra fans or buy another good quality case with better cooling
-u will only be able to add 1 GPU to that mobo
-its a p67 no onboard video dont even think onboard video will run bf3
-u only have enough PSU power i dont think u can do some major overclocking

aw8ing replies for adjustments

Just thought the users might want to know that the video card you picked has green artifact issues in DX11. I know this because I had to RMA two of them with the same issue. Hence my new Twin Frozr cards. If you read the reviews, TONS of people are having the same problem.

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKA3-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ Cooler Master RS700-PCAAE3-US 700W Power Supply $124.99 and a $15 rebate = $109.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119235

This case has better cooling and it comes with a 700w psu.

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive $79.99 and free shipping

I know its more but you get 1tb and 64mb cache. What you saved on the case/psu combo can help pay for this.

COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 RR-920-N520-GP 92mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Intel Core i7 compatible $43.99 and a $10 rebate= $33.99

You get this card for the same price as the Msi and you get the great warrenty service of Evga.

That form is so we can tweak a build to a person's specific needs.

Not everyone has the same screen resolution, not everyone needs an o/s or other components, newegg deals and combo's change all the time, some peeps benefit from amazon due to taxes, some do like a future dual card set up, some don't, and is this like a under $1,000 budget? Everyone's take on a "budget" is different.

jus to clarify what i mean the intended res is 1920x1080 cos it is the most common as for budget i mean a budget build that can max bf3 and in the same time has high quality components

and btw i added a note about the 1 graphics card

here is further more explanation lets say im a newbie who saw this bf3 on youtube and i wanna play it and it is time for upgrades so i found this tomshardware site where i can ask ppl about a good pc for bf3 many ppl can afford this price we have here btw

on top of the new build section you ll find sticky threads having the title bestconfigs poll high end mid end or whatever intel based or amd based this is like bestconfig (quality+performace) bf3 build

dont know what more i can say u should ve got the idea by now

Good idea for the basic framework. Just throw in two builds on that vid...a single card set up, and a set up with another card in the future. Gigabyte and Asrock has the dual card boards covered for budget, and for a single card set up that asrock board I posted is solid and good price. Gigabyte has a similar priced single card board...actually it's cheaper than the asrock, but it doesn't o/c as well.

i thought of that but i read bout dx12 it's said to be released in 2013 just when the year starts so paying extra money for graphics is not a good idea since its gonna be much cheaper in a year and a half's time

the cheapest build that can run bf3 maxed at the most comon res 1920x1080
forget bout that dual 580 crap in my opinion a single 570 can max it at that res 1 of the beta players maxed it out with a dual core processor and a crappy gpu not very crappy but compared to a 570 or 560 ti it is

This thread is very misleading and needs a new title imo.
Budget build, implies cheap... meeting the minimum requirements.
Playing BF3 on max settings is not something you can do using a 'budget build'.

A better title would be something like... Cheap Maxed BF3 build. But thats my opinion anyway...
