PerfectDisk 7.0

Perhaps this has been done already but i cant seem to find the message. Anyways, I have Perfect Disk 7.0 and i have come to realize that in its quest to line up EVERY file on my hd, it actually creates fragments around "system" files. Is there some setting i can change for it to just leave hte free space and keep all the files in 1 piece?.

Do an offline or boot-time defrag. The system files cannot be moved while Windows is running, so defrag programs are forced to work around them. I haven't noticed Perfectdisk actually creating fragments... if anything it might leave 1 or 2 file fragments after it's done and that's about it.

is there a program out there that will move system files to the edge of hte hd so that it doesnt get in the way of defrags?

Not with NTFS. Windows gets very upset if you start fudging around with those files. I don't believe anything on the market will do any better than PerfectDisk.
