Perfmon ssd spikes

My ssd (sp60 120gb) keeps getting random spikes in a pattern I don't understand why as I keep my comp clean of any malware and possible viruses and it's coming from microsoft files

It's Microsoft Outlook. The spikes are most likely when it's checking for new email.
