So i want to upgrade my pc monitor, but i dont know if my system can support 1080p. My system is a bit old, and i wont be able to afford a new one for at least 1-2 years. My current monitor is 1280x1024 and the one i want to buy 1920x1080. My specs are : CPU: INTEL CORE DUO 2.2 GHZ, GPU: GIGABYTE RADEON HD 4650(OC) . The fps (i guess) will decrease, the question is how much? I play only league. Fps now at high are 80-140. Thank you for your time!

Solution
1280 * 1024 = 1310720

1920 * 1080 = 2073600

2073600 / 1310720 = 1.58

158% more pixels to render than 1280x1024. So taking the average of your minimum and maximum FPS, which is 110 FPS

.58 * 110 = 63.8

You are going to average 63,8 FPS gaming at 1920x1080. Depending on settings, you can increase this number - experiment.
