Hello there,

I bought a GTX 1060 a month or so ago and haven't been able to use it or plug it in at all due to some uncontrollable circumstances.

On my current laptop, I have an Intel HD 4000M integrated graphics solution. Alongside many other people, I can only play games at minimum settings then dialed down even further (some games wouldn't be considered playable). Borderlands 2, Payday 2, Overwatch and TF2 are the main games I go for. Currently I'll get a wide range of FPS with each getting 15-30, 10-20, 5-40, 30-90 FPS respectively. As said before, I have minimum settings for each of them (at 50% render scale for overwatch).

I know that i'll be getting a huge boost with the 1060 @ 1080p, but since I only play on minimum settings at less than 1080p (currently), It's tough to really grasp what kind of a boost it will be for max settings. Any way for me to find out what it will be like since I have yet to come close to using the new card? What Kind of impact will this have on my gaming experience? Does having better FPS make you a better player? So many things I really can't know...

Thanks for any input!

Should be about 20x faster, like 2000%.

It makes the game much clearer and crisper. While being clearer from the high resolution - they will also play smoother with more FPS.

For 1080p gaming your new GTX 1060 should give 60+ FPS in the vast majority of games, with high/near max settings.

You're going to be blown away. Your games are going to look TONS better, play TONS smoother - you're going to love it.
