Will turning down the settings in windows will games run better due to win using less resources? Eg dimming effects on desktop, visuals etc.
Please help it's a dell inspirion

That will not really improve game performance. Hardware upgrades have a direct impact on gaming performance.

Maybe if you disable Windows Aero, but that would be a very slight increase.

Do you have a laptop or desktop?
