Performance issues at High refresh rate

I have a gtx 1060 3gb, i5 7400, 16 gb of RAM.

On most Games i get à lot of stuttering and frame drops whenever i turn too fast.

On Games like R6S with every settings set at Low I can barely reach 90 FPS but some friends with similar cards but different CPUs manage to reach around 150.

Is There something wrong with my system ( bottleneck or something like that ) ?

Hi. When playing what cpu usage does your cpu reach. What refresh rate is your monitor?

My CPU usage is always at 100% in-game and at around 70 on menus. I Also Play at 144hz

Does it make a difference if you set your monitor to run at something lower like 60 or 75? + If your cpu is absolutely pinned the whole time and you're not happy with 90fps I'd reccomend buying a better processor.

I've tried different refresh rates and the same stutter happens. I wanted to be sure that my CPU is the problem before buying a new one

But it is weird how i am having issues with mine but when I ask some of my friends with the same CPU but better GPUs they Get perfect performance

Uhhhhm. If they have the same cpu then maybe your thermal compound is bad? What are the temps when in menu and when you're playing the game?

Around 45°, it never Reach above 50
