I have been building my own PC for a few years now, constantly upgrading and tinkering with it to get the most out of what I've paid for. A small while ago, when I got my new GPU (GTX 970) I noticed that, even though my PC met all of the recommended system requirements I haven't been able to get stable frame-rates in Free-Roam / Open-World games.
My PC Specs, As Follows:
---------------------------------
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
GPU: Gigabyte Wind-force X3 GTX 970 (OC)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.5 GHz (Air Cooled - OC)
PSU: Cooler Master 550 Watt Non-Modular
RAM: 16 GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical @ 1600 MHz
HDD: Hitachi - 3 TB HDD @ 5200 RPM (3 - 1 TB partitions)
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO - 120 GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Screen Resolution: (1440 x 900 @ 75 Hz for the games) & (1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz for wiki browsing)
Any ideas on what's going on with my computers frame-rates in games?
