[SOLVED] Performance Issues

Hey, so for 8 months-ish I've had an issue with my computer since I've I haven't been able to solve which is performance.

My computer has an:

• Ryzen 7 2700
• GeForce RTX 2080
• 16gb Corsair DDR4 RAM (2 Sticks, 3200 Mhz in slots 2 &4).
• 500GB SSD, 1 TB HDD Storage

And in titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare even if I select the lowest possible settings I float between 70-120fps with Spotify, Discord, Battlenet and few other programs open in the background. I have no idea what is causing this as when I monitor task manager nothing is being used to 99% or even 80%. Overheating is also not an issue I am currently seeing through monitoring programs.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting and resolving this? Tempted to reset my PC and see if that helps.

make and model of the psu?
what resolution?
cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
ram/ssd/hdd usage during the game?
malware scan?
update motherboard bios?

 

[Scalings]

• Corsair CX650m (or something like that)
• 1920x1080
• 60 CPU 70 GPU off the top of my head, I'll get back with more accurate ones when I next play.
• RAM ~70% usage will double-check to be sure.
  Storage usage I haven't monitored.
• 0 Threats found with Malware Bytes and Adwcleaner.
• Running on latest F50a I believe. (B450 Aorus Elite) but this issue has happened when I was on the older versions.

60 CPU

Having more than 8 cores working is about as much as you can ask from any game and looking at youtube your FPS is normal for your CPU.

Nothing to see here you need faster cores if you want more FPS.
