Performance of win7 vs win8(8.1/10)

I wanna know with system would be the best for old computer, with has the highest performance. Of course only x86 are in play, I won't install x64 on old PC. I wanna play games like COD MW3 with is on the lowest possible settings and only 600x400 resolution so system performance is for me very important also in win 7 it's possible to disable aero and switch to classic style but in 8/10 it's impossible so because of that is 7 faster?

I have C2D with iGPU GMA 4500 and 4Gigs of RAM

Second thread is that on 7 I can install 4GB RAM patch and I don't know if it's also available to 8.

I would get win 7 for you as 8 is more intensive I think.
