As I am planning a new pc build with Ryzen 7 2700x and Asus Rog strix b450+f and GPU Msi Gtx 1650 super 4GB or 6GB DDR6 my purpose is to professional work of vide editing rendering graphic deagning 3d AutoCAD 3d max development.

The main reason for selecting Asus Rog strix b450-f is it has two m.2 slot both work in pcie 3.0x4 mode and will give speed upto 3500mbps...buy m.2_2 slot if used will reduce downgrade pcie_1 3.0x16x to Pice 3.0x8 as it's sharing lanes from pcie primary slot.

As GPU on the pcie_1 slot will be gtx 1650 super and I want to confirm before purchasing that on downgrading speed of pcie 3.0x16 to pcie3.0 x8 what will it effect on GPU.

1. Will GPU work in pcie 3.0 x8 less lanes or not

2. What will be the therotical difference I. Pcie3.0x16x or pcie 3.0x8 speed or bandwidth.

3. What theoretically does GPU working in pcie 3.0x16x lanes bandwidth or resolution and GPU working in pcie 3.0 x8x will reflect in general graphic editing work

4. What theoretically does GPU working in pcie 3.0x16x lanes bandwidth or resolution and GPU working in pcie 3.0 x8x will reflect in downgrading GPU speed will it effect on 4k 2k or 1080 p video editing or rendering.

5. What will it effect on performance in normal applications work.

6. Is it worth to compromise the GPU lanes form m2.2 slot

7. Is there any option to skip from compromise of GPU I mean any board in b450 x470 chipset and who have two pcie3.0x16 slot working in secondary one we can place the GPU and not comprimise or place m.2 adapter in second pcie slot.

Why not get a B550 board instead and avoid the issue altogether?
@popatim thnax buddy nice to see you reply again happy new day and happy new year to you.

b550 boards don't support Ryzen 7 2700x . Secondly b550 board have first m.2 with p4x4 and second m2.x3 pcie3x4 and some b550 to locks pcie4x4 slot or SATA 5 or 6 port. At last 2700x and b450 or x470 supports windows 7 and windows 8 to.
